Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A type of equipment that can carry loads which are around 30,000 pounds is a forklift. A forklift is also called a counterbalance. Despite being large and sturdy, these industrial machines still bear the potential chance of accident or crash. To be able to be very safe, be sure to have operators wear an appropriate seat belt in the forklift and check that up to standard safety features are on board. We all know that in the event of an accident, seat belts can save lives.
Three-Point Seat Belt
The kinds of seat belts which could extend both over the lap and across the upper body are the three-point seat belts. These belts provide an added safety degree by protecting your body. They are available in both bench-seat and buckle-seat kinds. The 3-point seat belts are available in either retractable and non-retractable types.
The majority of modern vehicles on the market offer retractable seat belts. While non-retractable types increase safety, retractable types offer much more comfort. It is truly not possible for a non-retractable seat belt to accidentally extend.
Lap belts
Two-point lap belts are those that extend over the lower part of the body. The majority of lap belts are non-retractable and feature a push-button closure system. In order to secure the seat belt, simply press on the belt button and the two sides would separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The circuit-closed seat belts are the type which force forklift operators to put on a seat belt. These types of seat belts have a micro-switch attached that makes an alarm sound if an operator starts a vehicle and is not secured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both retractable and non-retractable lap-band types.
