Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy
Terex offers Genie DC and Bi-Energy machinery which are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. Like for instance, in industrial settings where the machine must travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the versatility and advantages of a diesel fueled generator utilizing a 48 Volt DC equipment.
Some of the important features provided by this combination consist of up, over and out positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. As well, the zero tail-swing offered by most models, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
The drive and proportional controls provide the equipment with precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models available to function with an additional working range for specific tasks. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates 90 degrees to either side.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is great for outdoor construction applications and industrial applications. This model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine out, over and up positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach offered by this particular model is second to none in the market.
The diesel engines with articulating booms offer zero tail-swing on the majority of models and have a tight turning radius. These machines are great for maneuvering in confined locations. Additionally, they provide grade and terrain maneuverability, supreme power and exceptional torque. The diesel engines are generally quiet also. Most models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to provide great flexibility on uneven and rough surfaces.
High ground clearance is provided in 4 or 2 wheel drive models, whilst the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom types are available and offer extra range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models too.
