Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also referred to as pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are utilized in order to move things and supplies around on wooden pallets using metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight has a pump which lifts the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by one individual.
Pallet trucks must be operated carefully in order to avoid loss of control while raising heavy loads. Equipment should be checked before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Check that the handle turns smoothly. The pallet must be carefully stacked to ensure that nothing would fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level situated on the inside of the metal loop to lower the forks and release the air in the pump. The forks could then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks must be centered to guarantee even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Raise the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not lift the pallet very high or the forklift can unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and then dragging it behind you. It is really not safe to push the pallet ahead of you as the momentum can cause it to lose control. Slowly take turns and don't try to stop suddenly. Slowly stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
