Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklifts provide versatility and height. These units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the individual utilizing it to maintain a high degree of control while raising the cargo to great heights. Regular forklifts could not move the load away from and towards the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally used in construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
In cases requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that enable the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It is available with a backrest that protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift would normally use a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform meant specifically to raise personnel. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a strap or chain that is to be secured directly to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
