Genie telescopic S-booms have working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Compared with various other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a a range of horizontal reach that is much greater. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access confined areas during industrial and construction applications. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great drive speed and traction. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and is able to stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables offer quick, easy positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 model comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This specific unit could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were previously inaccessible by conventional jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This particular feature enables over and up reaching tasks to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system that allows for precious time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be elevated fully at the same time. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features lessens the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing productivity and efficiency.
